Thor Quest

According to insider Daniel Richtman via his Patreon, Marvel Studios is developing a new project titled Thor Quest. While details are still under wraps, it’s unclear whether the project is intended as a theatrical film or a Disney+ series.

In addition to Thor Quest, reports suggest that Thor 5 is also in the early stages of development. Marvel Studios is reportedly planning to include the film as part of the MCU’s next major saga. Notably, Taika Waititi—who directed Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder—will not be returning to helm the next installment.

Instead, Chris Hemsworth is said to be advocating for Sam Hargrave, director of Netflix’s Extraction, to take the director’s chair. Hemsworth and Hargrave have previously collaborated on the Extraction films, which are known for their gritty, high-octane action—a potential tonal shift from the more comedic direction of the last two Thor entries.

With both Thor Quest and Thor 5 reportedly on Marvel’s radar, it looks like the God of Thunder still has plenty of lightning left in the tank.
